的 Durham County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division, commonly known as CID, provides professional investigative services to Durham County. CID is responsible for the investigation of felony and misdemeanor crimes, and may also conduct sensitive or special interest investigations as directed by the Sheriff. CID detectives primarily investigate felony-level crime. 的 men and women of this unit conduct a broad spectrum of criminal investigations to include deaths, 性侵犯, 持械抢劫, 盗窃, 欺诈, computer crime and various other crimes. CID also provides criminal intelligence and forensic investigative support for the 巡逻 Division.

的 Forensic 财产 and 证据 Unit is responsible for the processing, 保存, 集合, and analysis of physical evidence at crime scenes.
